Parent Teen Book Club is a forum for parents and students to read together and to discuss books. When discussing books, parents and students can learn from each other’s perspectives and begin to understand and appreciate the similarities and differences among themselves. This is a great opportunity to communicate with your teenager as he/she moves forward in shaping an identity and in making good choices for the future. Each Parent Teen Book Club is a separate meeting and different titles will be offered at each meeting. Please accept this invitation to support your child as a lifelong reader.
The next Parent Teen Book Club will take place on Thursday February 21 (snow date February 28) at 7pm at Rocky Run Middle School. Try a new format – each book is either a graphic novel, journal/diary, novel in verse, or screenplay.
Decide with your child which title you would like to read before signing up and use the PTBC Sign Up Link to indicate your choice. After you sign-up, two copies of the book will be sent home to borrow; one for the student to read, one for the parent to read. On February 21 we will come together in small groups to discuss the books! Space is limited so sign up soon!
